Any thoughts &/or experience anyone on the most suitable wheel clamp for a standard wheeled Traveller?
Cheers!
Andy.

If they want it . they will just lift it and tow it away on a dolly..... Otherwise - a secret switch is as good as anything..

Trust me folks, there is ABSOLUTELY NO DANGER EVER IN THIS WORLD of my being a parking/traffic warden/enforcement officer of ANY KIND..!
Phew! :)

I hear what you are saying about a hidden switch but for me there is nothing like a visible deterrent that can be seen on a "walk round".
Agreed that if they really want it, they'll come back with a HIAB flat bed truck, but at least the less organised naughty folk can be deterred!

Joking aside, I work hard for what little I have & "they" are not taking it from me if I can help it - wheel clamp AND hidden switch is my plan! :o

I use a Disclock on the steering wheel. At least they would need to get past the door locks  and alarm system before they had to tackle it. A clamp, although a good visible deterrent, can be worked on before they break in

I agree with a visible deterrent, parked correctly up against a wall the towers cant do a damn thing with a wheel clamp.
Another simple deterrent is to etch the windows with the number plate, £25.00 the last time I bought a kit.
This simple item means cloning is a pig, scrapping for spares is limited too.

Do you know what size fits a minor?

Yes, they come in three sizes - you will need the large one like this.

Well, as long as you don't mind popping a hub cap off...

I've just bought the Nemesis clamp for my work van but have tried it on the Traveler & it fits a treat!

Also spoke to SAS on the phone & their HD1 will fit the Minor & is much lighter & smaller than the Nemesis.
You still need to pop a cap though!

I will buy an SAS for the Traveller as it will stow in the back, & keep the Nemesis for my van.
For longer term Minor parking up though, the Nemesis is a serious bit of kit & looks very much the deterrent!

Andy.
