Different sorts of top trunnion pin?

I had one top trunnion pin (damper to upright pin) which had a damaged thread for the nut, so I bought a NOS replacement, but it seems to have a slightly smaller diameter washer in the middle than the ones which came off the car. Will this still be OK to use or is it for a different/earlier car or variant?

(I have taken pictures but left camera lead behind, can get them up Sunday or Monday  )

The top trunnion pin/washer can be different dependent upon supplier.
The threads now are mostly UNF and those that have the UNF threads appear to be better manufactured than the original ones and the recessed washer is one piece and not made up of two pieces.
The O.D. size of the washer does not matter so long as the washer is no smaller than the overall diameter of the top trunnion bush.[frame]Image[/frame]

Thanks very much, that puts my mind at rest. The threads on the new ones are the same UNF threads as the old ones; the nuts interchange. Those shown in your picture are identical to the new one I have received. Should fit my '67 saloon then.

If they are the same as the picture they will fit.
