Hey folks,
I have scuttle panels at the front of my car, made of a hard cardboard material, then i have two more pieces made of the same material, i cannot find the part name for either of them.
The first is underneath the back seats (only half has survived):

The other is underneath the rear window, and above the rear parcel shelf, sorry i didnt take a picture of it.
Does anyone know what their technical names are?
Thanks a lot,
Greg

The picture shown with most cars is classed as the heel board, not sure about the other part.

Originally the panel cover was hardboard, N C supply them as carpets

It is actually made of millboard which is still available from trim suppliers and could be cut to size and coloured if you wished. The name for the part is the "heelboard liner" and it was available in a range of colours during car production but has not been remanufactured so you're unlikely to obtain one now. Later cars and deluxe models had carpet instead.

Hi,
As ManyMinors says ithe base material is called millboard and is available from Woolies. Its black and textured in colour but the colour I found nearest to the red original is Renault Bois de Rose. Paint colour ref 751-93
I had a Holts Professional mix done and you cannot tell the difference.
As others have said carpet sets do include a piece to fit here. I have done both and pleased with the results.

Thanks all, heelboard liner is my new word of the day - i guess thats calcaneumtabula navis in Latin?
I will fit the new carpet for now, and longer term try to create an authentic replacement out of Millboard!!
i have several "extra" holes in my floor, not rusted, but drilled through, whats the best way to plug them permanently - short of welding, which i dont have easy access to?
Thanks again!
Greg

Use a rubber gromit to plug the holes and smear some grease round them first makes it easier to put in and helps to stop the hole rusting round the edges.
