I have a problem with my hot engine running on when the key is turned off.
Other than this the engine performance seems fine.
Following what I've read on other posts I went to adjust the knurled screw on the
Distributor, but before I did this I did the 'suck' test on the vacuum advance unit.
I feel no pull back or can see any movement of the plate, so assume it is not functioning.
1. Am I correct with my assumptions?
2. Could this be contributing to my problem?
Any help appreciated.

Re: Vacuum Advance Unit
Yes - it won't be helping engine performance. Either fit a new vac unit - or perhaps a complete new dizzy from Accuspark/Powerspark would be a good bet. Get the 45D if you do that.

Re: Vacuum Advance Unit
O.K. thanks.
