Hello

Im Steven. Will be joining your club very soon. Iv been really unlucky with my health im in abit of downer. An older friend of mine is selling his completely original morris traveller. Its got the back removed but brand new treated wood comes with it. Thats the only downside. Iv always looked and noticed it but never with a view to buying it. So we will be viewing it early next week. I know an excellent joiner aswell. Just saying hello really. More to follow.

Welcome to the Minor world Steven. They are great for lifting you out of a downer....once you get them sorted out!

Thank you. Im more looking forward to a car i can polish and show. Instead of just working on rubbish cars and making cars functional. Sorry for any bad spelling, iv had a stroke and struggle when im tired.

Don't bank on a Minor to eliminate you working on cars! It will need a reasonably amount of upkeep as with any old car. However sounds like a decent project. :D

I love working on cars. I also do car trials. But id like a car i can make look good and be proud of. Instead of just functional. My joiner was relieved when he found out that iv already got the wood. He had images of cutting wood out with his band saw. He keeps saying it will be ok tho will take a while. My fathers an engineer aswell so between the 3 of us we should be ok.

Are there any books you could recommend to help us out? Do the good old Haynes refitting is the same as removal anygood as abit of a rough guide?

Thanks Steven
