Good evening all, I am new to the minor world , after just finishing the renovation on my classic mini, and wanting a minor for so long, I have recently bought a 1959 2 door that has trafficators but they have been unwired / disconnected , as it has front side lights and indicators, I cant see any wires and want to get them working again can anyone help as im stuck with no knowledge of how to put them right or even test them, also I have all front lights working except the dipped beam on the passenger side , and no matter what I do I cant get it to work I have changed the bulb and I get full beam now but no dip beam I have checked all the terminals cleaned them all up and checked for voltage , could it be the earth on the n/s inner wing ?
thanks to you all in advance
Barry

Hi and welcome to the site.
It's unlikely to be earthing as your main beam is ok, it is more likely to be the connection from the drivers side dipped beam to the passenger side dipped beam via the snap connectors. The colour is Blue/Red and is fed from the dip switch and then linked across to connect the two dipped beams together.
With regards to your trafficators you will need to wire up your indicators differently, you will need 2 indicator units, there is a wiring diagram on here somewhere but if you cant find it let us know.
Best of luck, Ian

The main beam may be 'earthing' back through the dip beam...... it was 'dip beam' before the bulb (seriously - a bulb??) was changed.
