I am not sure how the ongoing problems can be solved, but being rather selfish I just hope
that when we travel using the Tunnel it is without hold ups and clear.

You wait all year for your break and then some outside influence tries to bugger you up (Yorkshire saying), my
mum 99 years old and our Newfoundland dog Hagrid are travelling so it would be nice to get through and start
our holidays.

On the way back we will have to be High Alert with all doors locked as we have a large van with extra seats
and loads of room in the back.

The problem is that the French will do absolutely nothing about the 'strikers' - these strikes would be completely illegal in the UK... Nor do they care about the immigrants - the more that get away from Calais, the better it is for them. Simple answer - holiday elsewhere - NOT in France.

We love France and have a holiday home in the Correze, we have great neighbours and friends, our
daughter went to the village school for 6 months and on her return meets up with her French friends.

Great to visit the Vide Greniers (Car Boot) and all the local markets, the Friday night Farmers & Local Produce one is
fantastic. You buy your meat, chicken or fish and then take it to the Rotarian BBQ and they cook it for you for free.

There is always some live entertainment where you can dance the night away.

Covered areas in case of bad weather or it being too hot and loads of wine to sample plus he beer kiosk.

So France it is but fingers crossed for getting there without hassle.

Two weeks to go, yabba dabba dooooo

Book from another port - because this will go on and on... I worked for a French firm , and had to visit them in Bourges regularly. I do NOT share your enthusiasm for the French......
