Door Mirror

Hi, I have bought a stainless door mirror similar to the one in the picture on Charles Ware's page (under the section marked "News" to the right), and wish to fit it on the stainless corner capping as per this picture.
I have cut the bolt down to fit in the aperture but am not sure how to re-fit the capping once the mirror is mounted. Do I bend the stainless capping to get it over the frame or do I need to take more of the frame apart?
Thanks.

Yes, mine screw on but I wouldn't like to crease or kink it out of shape.

I didn't like the idea of bending it open to get it on the frame so I silver soldered the bracket to the triangle!
Seemed like a good idea at the time!

I fitted mine by removing the quarter-light rubber surround. It gives access to the mirror attachment with the capping in place.
