the base of the two and four door are different shapes. To allow easier access to the rear seats on the 4 door the corners are rounded. The traveller rear seats have a wooden base which allows the back and base to "lock" into each other, the seat back will also be different to both 2 and 4 doors having a bar along the top ( to lock into the base when tilted forward) and will be a different shape also it will not have the captive nuts you need to pull and hold the back rest in place.. bear in mind that the why the back rest of the back seat is held in place in different ways, so the safest thing is to get the correct rear sea.
front seats are the same in traveller \ and 2 \ 4 doors the style varies with age though.

Thanks for the info.I am thinking, that if I buy the seat of Traveller seats I am looking at and have themn recovered then there could be a market for them .People spend a lot of money restoring Travellers .

Depends on price and whether you will be re-covering them as original or differently. Non-standard seat covers will probably appeal to a smaller market than original ones. The original style covers are readily available new and I guess that people who are restoring a car themselves might also want to renew/recover the seats themselves. I recovered the seats in my traveller and it was pretty easy to do and much more rewarding than getting someone else to do it. Plus with collection/delivery costs it can work out cheaper to have seats re-trimmed locally rather than further afield if you want someone else to do the work for you.

I was thinking of having them trimmed in the original style ,but in leather which the later seats were not.I have a set on Ebay at the moment, the later style but in real leather all round. They have been done by a retired car upholsterer ,so they are excellent.I just have to find a buyer. The other problem is ,the cost of hides of leather now.Len
