Indicators, Wipers and Fuel Gauge Gone

Hi All,
I've had an intermittent issue with my fuel gauge moving all over the place and my indicators some times not working and wipers taking AGES to kick in when switched on. Now all three have completely died, and will not work AT ALL.
Looking at the wiring diagram it points towards the instrument voltage stabiliser, but would that knock them out completely if It had failed? I have a modern electrical flasher relay on my indicators, rather than the original thermal one (not sure if that would make any difference?).
I can't seem to buy a voltage stabiliser ANYWHERE because they're not made new and ESM etc do not have second-hand ones in stock. I'm damned if this is what kills off the car! Does anyone have one knocking about that they know works? That is, if you think that's the root of the problem.
All advice appreciated!
