morris 4 door undersill

What is the best way,to replace the undersill on my Morris 4 door.Do I have to grind the old one,from under the A post and B posts,after cutting the old sill out .

Yes back to good metal or you wont be able to do a good weld, then you can start. I am not suggesting that you go this far, mine is a 2 door but but the procedure is the same. Like this if it helps.

You do know that there are TWO undersills an inner and outer,usually if one is gone then so is the other,and the boxing panel may need repair or replacement. No point in doing one ,to have to do the others at a later date.
