I've already introduced myself elsewhere - have recently bought my first car, a 1966 convertible which I'm keeping and driving on the farm in Devon. As well as something to get me around, I'm hoping she's also going to be a useful aid in my crusade to better understand the mechanical workings, and maintenance of classic cars.
In the meanwhile, I would really like to have her looked at by a competent mechanic who knows Minors, and who preferably isn't going to dream up faults to defraud me of my money. She has a recent, clean MOT but this was performed by the garage which sold me the car and is consequently, I believe, not to be entirely trusted.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Good experiences? We're right in East Devon, on the Dorset border, so relatively near Axminster way.
All advice welcome.
