im pretty sure once start grinding, there will be a nice hole....and i really cant use that now, because engine will be running in 2 weeks and the weather will be better too; time to enjoy Morry...! (only did about 70 km before starting dismanteling her...)

So, i was wondering if anybody could help me finding this (undamaged) part somewhere; idealy i would cut the affected part out (window etc out first...) and weld the donor-part in....

maybe some kind gentleman could help my finding this part end send it to holland, of course i will pay the expenses !

thanks in advance !! :D

Is it not 'leaded' in there ? Round to the right doesn't look too good either.... If you want to use the car now - I suggest just rub and paint, a temporary repair - and leave the bigger repair till next winter.

Hi Bmc,

With 'leaded' you mean like using a filler 'old-style' with lead ?

No indeed, it doesn't look too good that area...that's exact why I'm looking for a 'repair-panel'.... For this summer I will do as you said, but in the meantime.....looking for some nice metal

Tidy it up for this year's rallies. In the autumn take the windscreen out and get the welding done properly. I had to have this done last year to mine. The welder fabricated a piece for it as you cannot buy a repair panel for it. Make sure the windscreen is properly sealed when you replace it to save it happening again

 ok rear screen but the same applies. It needs to be done properly otherwise the rust will return.

Indeed, its a rear...

I guess I ll do it that way, just 'cosmetic' for now, and in wintertime the more durable repair...

For now; front suspension/steering dismantled and waiting for bushes, engine almost done, but waiting for replacement bearings from esm, 4 wings, valances etc at the painter, so waiting, but never a dull moment; repairing the seats, and tons of other small but important jobs

there are a few ads for people scrapping cars, I sure if you emailed them they could cut the part out, worth a try
