How's it going fellas, I'm starting a new build at home and thought I would start posting pics as I went along, the plan is to supercharge my little 4 cylinder side valve Morris engine today I set up the engine work space and started to dissemble the old beast enjoy the pics

Thought I would also show you guys my valve stand these are real easy to make and cost next to nothing




I sandblasted, cleaned and scotch finished the sump and also found a suspect bash on the baffle plate? Weirdly there's no sign of it on the crank

Hi Merb
Your project sounds interesting. What type of blower are you going to use and are you intending to suck through the carb or blow through. What type of carb? What boost are you intending to have? Have you given any thought to the rods, pistons, valves, ports, exhaust and camshaft etc. A lot of these will depend on the boost pressure you use. I have noted from your pics a couple of subtle differences to the USHM 3 motors I have had. The oil filler cap is different and the front and centre bearing caps have one strengthening rib in the centre where as all of mine have two ribs. As far as the bash on the sump baffle plate this would almost certainly have been caused by the rear of the baffle having been installed without engaging it between the two slots either side of the sump. In fact I seem to recall this having happened to one of Mike Perry’s motors. Will be interested to keep an eye on your build.

So some updates for yal, I managed to find a new block with all
The hard work done and I'm waiting for my courier to pick it up, it's had new Pistons valves hardened valve seats new ground crank skimmed block and flywheel, I'll be running a shorrock supercharger c75b, I have everything but the crankshaft pulley and was wondering if anyone had any dimensions for one? I don't mind making one many thanks

i recieved my new engine today all looks pretty good its been rebuilt but has sat for quite a while so i may have the crank polished heres some photo also with my dad holding the superhcarger
