Hi
I fitted new wiper blades and new arms, but there are still large streaks when I wash/wipe the windscreen. Is this normal or are they meant to be better?

Re: wiper blade dilemma
Depends - if you fitted the 'chrome' blades they are often rated as 'hopeless'. The black branded blades are often very much better at actually wiping the screen. It's also possible of course that your screen is contaminated with wax - try cleaning it with 'carb and choke cleaner' - don't let it get on the paintwork - just spray it on a clean cloth, away from the car.

Re: wiper blade dilemma
It depends on the design of the wiper blade. I have found this design to be the most efficient[frame]

Re: wiper blade dilemma
With my moggy I have found the same thing, get caught in a shower and the wipers don't seen to clear the screen properly. When I had a close look at the wipers it seems the spring does not hold the blade tight enough to the glass so I am going to have a look at making the spring do it's job properly i.e. tighten it up a bit. Something for me to do on a rainy weekend perhaps!

I have bought rain-x for my screen it's what bikers use on there visors it makes the rain collect in blobs therefore making it easier to see through and I find it helps the wipers clean
