Thermostat Housing Swap

Post by Boomlander »

Hi Folks,
I believe this is an A series housing - would it fit Minor engines?[frame]Image[/frame]

Hi,
Have you compared it to your stud positions on your head? If they match and the thermostat fits in it then it should do.
If you can't tell and don't want to remove your existing one to check then do you have a spare thermostat housing gasket? You could try matching that with it.
Best wishes,
Mike.

I think that might be a mini housing, the angle suggests to me it might be. If I am right, unlikely  , then you'll find you may have to put a bit of a bend in you top hose :D

I think that's actually an early Spridget item for the 948 allowing a temperature sender (and gauge) to be fitted.
Willing to be corrected.

It will obviously fit the head - but as already mentioned, you may need a special hose.......
