What is the best thing to use/do to wax/polish 2k paint?

Depends on what you are doing,
If you are just polishing for presentation on perfectly good paint then any car polish will suit. If you are trying to get fine scratches out you could use 2000 grit or finer wet and dry followed up with a cutting compound and a good buff. After this, use a good polish as per above.
If you want to revive old paint and it feels gritty to the touch, you could clay bar it. Check this out on YouTube but be sure in all cases that your paint is thick enough to take any form of cutting.

Thank you for that, all I aim to do is get the current good paint more presentable.

Nothing special about the type of paint as far as which polish to use.Whatever floats your boat.There are some fantastic claims made by clever companies to get your money.
