Which headlining?

I wasn't planning to change my headlining as frankly the idea of doing it terrifies me! But it really is pretty tatty and if I'm ever going to do it it'd be easier while all my windows are still out.
Can anyone recommend which headlining to buy? ESM & Bull Motif both come in around £70-80 and Newton commercial is a bit over £100, is there any real difference in quality?
What else should I buy as well as the liner, any cables, clips etc?
Thanks.
Neil.

I would renew the cable as well, I refittted a new one with second hand cable and just as I was doing the last tension on it the cable broke off were its held in place by the screw under the dash......

I dont know about ESM or BM but I would certainly recommend Newton, my 55 2 door looks great and includes fitting instructions. As I have said before do it on a nice warm day with a fan heater in the car for an hour.

Hi,
Another point would be, which one fits best (as in fills the hole!)??
I replaced mine a few years back and although a vast improvement on my torn and stained original, it is slightly too narrow, even though it's pulled as tight as it will go. If someone can recommend one that will fit I might well replace it again.
Best wishes,
Mike.

PS: It was bought from a reputable supplier.

I had EXACTLY the same issue with mine when I replaced it last year (Minor 1000 Saloon). The headlining simply wasn't quite wide enough at the front despite warmth and much pulling the wires. I measured both old and new and the new one was narrower. Other than that it looked good although it wasn't a simple operation and I wouldn't look forward to do it again!

My headlining was manufactured by Newton Commercial but purchased from one of the larger Minor specialists.

You're putting me off to be honest, I think I might have a go at repairing the original headlining in the car :o

My headlining from Newton Commercial was a perfect fit, but as I have said, it must be hot inside the car when you tension the wires.
