1275cc timing

Hi everyone, does anyone know offhand the dynamic timing setting for the marina 1275 engine. I've roughly set it by ear turning the dizzy but would like to set it with my timing light. All I can find is static setting.

There's no point setting it to some 'random' figure from 30 years ago with very different fuel specs - just set it for best idle - then road test to check it's not pinking, and perhaps advance it slightly till it's 'not quite' pinking. It's the best you can do - unless you start to customise the advance curve within the dizzy.

Yes very true about the fuel specs, I must admit to forgetting about that !!
