Yes the wood was replaced by her previous owner. He did a lovely job.

Thanks. I was looking for one as original as possible. The only mods it has are front disc brakes, remote reservoir and an alternator. She's had a respray too.

I too have recently acquired an Almond green Traveller , but in unfortunate circumstance, My best friend,/surrogate brother, Stephen Gater, sadly passed away last september. I was kindly given his beloved treasure, ' Monty' the Traveller. The children and I share many fond memories spanning some 16years with 'Monty' so he will continue to be well loved and cared for.

"Commiserations"? I hear you cry, well, your good lady refers to her as Molly, its official then, the car has been blessed with a name, which in turn means a soul, which in turn makes her a member of the family, which brings responsibilities not even considered at this point.
Next you are patting her rump, (the car), making sure shes warm and cosy in the garage,(the car again) secure with secret switch and disclock, with etched windows to prevent theft (highly recommended) and before long you are accused of paying more attention to Doris (sorry, Molly) than you do to the missus, and she no longer calls her Doris, (sorry, my car again) she calls her the Mistress, with a toss of the head and that folded arm and foot tapping stance that means youre in trouble.

My wife says it's better than me spending all my time and money on Shmebay.
I'll be spending my money on Molly instead!
My wife also says as long as I pat her rump occasionally she can live with it

Lola, maybe you could start a separate thread about Monty, with some pictures? I am very sorry for your loss but, at the same time, happy for your "gain".
As you can see (in the sig pic) I do have a Traveller - this is the 2nd one I've owned and they do have a special "character".

Took Molly out for her first proper run since she was delivered on Monday.
I had bought her a Disklok which came today and after making sure it fit I thought it was too nice a day not to give her a run. Even managed to get her up to 55 with no complaints.
