Breach around thermostat pocket

I have a small breach around the pocket in the block where the thermostat sits. It is right where one of the studs screw in. this results in a slight weep up the stud and out under the nut/washer. Question is there anything I can use the effectively repair the block in this area?

The thermostat sits in the head - not the block... So the head has cracked where a stud sits ? Ideally it would be removed and brazed up - then the thread retapped. But I think a short term fix could be made simply with Loctite - or perhaps with one of the 'plastic metal' compounds that are readily available. Some speak well of 'J B Weld' although not something I have ever used..

JB weld is a great product with many possible applications.

Thanks for the feedback here. There is not a crack. I think there may have been a weep in the past and has been allowed to erode. I will give the JB weld product a try.
