Try imitation zebra hide seat covers to go with it. Very Docker Daimler!

We have a painted banjo wheel (cream colour) in our old english white 59 four door.
I painted it with three coats of acrylic paint after keying the wheel with some wet n dry paper.
In my opinion it does'nt look naff,it looks really 50s with the red interior. Before I fitted this wheel to our minor it was on an old hotrod model T roadster we had.The wheel has been painted like this for about 6 years and still looks good.

I have the red interior and the white wheel looked very vintage on the minx

Paint it then decide, you will only have yourself to blame. If you are quick enough you can clean it off before the paint dries :)

White wheels were common in the 50's and were introduced to signify blind drivers.

Both of these low lights look like they have white rimmed steering wheels, I rather like it.
I live old Rootes stuff, you could even get leopard print seat covers as an option to go with your white steering wheel :D

No, it was Leopard print. One of my uncles gave me a set for my '58 Series II Hillman Minx saloon with bench front seat (which I had about 1972).
Two colour exterior - white roof, red body and an off-white, very large steering wheel with a very large "horn push" ring - lovely 8)

Why not try a wrap first to see if you like it. If not then you haven't ruined your original one?

Secondhand steering wheels aren't rare. Why not buy a spare one, experiment and you've still got your original one to fall back on if you don't like it....
