Is it possible to fit the later Metro manifold,3 into2 cast followed by 2into1 mild steel, onto a 1098. I seem to remember hearing that someone had done it, but was it to a 1275?

Now you have confused me. The manifold bolts onto the side of the head.
You said that:
The Metro & Mini manifolds are designed to exit at the right of 'our' engine and not towards the rear (for a transverse installation). I was saying that you can bolt it to the head but after that I don't know. I know the Ital/Marina one works as the Brum Minor centre do a downpipe for it to fit the Minor.
Forget about the Metro manifold. Use the Minor one, or a Marina/Ital or an LCB manifold.

I was just pointing out that the manifold will bolt to the head. The engine size is immaterial as long as it's an A-series.Is it possible to fit the later Metro manifold,3 into2 cast followed by 2into1 mild steel, onto a 1098. I seem to remember hearing that someone had done it,
