There are a few different kit available from the likes of Bull Motif, ESM and JLH.
An easy and well proven disc brake kit is the one from Bull Motif
http://www.morrisminorspares.net/shop_item.php?ID=4935.
Easy to fit and requires no special tools.
Just check that the hubs have been modified to accept the Minor wheels (4" PCD)
I have similar on my Minor and never had any problems with the conversion.

Errrrrrr - the Bull M kit is "no longer supplied or recommended" ....... Be aware that you also need to modify (or fit new) the master cylinder. You may then find the brakes are too heavy so need add a servo (which involves a bit of re-piping....) - and many also fit a (sometimes leaky) remote reservoir. The cost soon mounts up! If your car is standard - then the later 1098cc 8" front brakes in good condition are more than adequate for any sane Minor motoring.....

The Bull Motif Marina disc brake kit Pt No: MOD 201C (link above) is still listed as available.
Pt No: MOD201 is no longer supplied or recommended and was based on a Ford vented disc brake conversion.

Can anybody tell me why the Ford-based disc conversion is not recommended?
Reason I ask is that we have the Owen Burton vented disc conversion on ours that we are rebuilding. Is there something I should know sooner rather than later?

Black Baron - If you scroll down the ESM news page you will see that in October 2004 there was a batch of 100 hubs which had problems with the bearings but this has now been remedied:

Thanks for that, I think we got ours a few years before that, but I will give that some attention.

I had terrible problems with the disc brake conversion kit I bought. Leaking calipers, flexible hoses that were too long and fouled on the bump stops and leaking remote reservoir connections. It took a lot of effort and additional cost to make them work properly as the supplier got bored with all my problems. I put them on the car because it's used almost daily and I was finding that the drum brake cylinders would often sieze up and require regular replacement.
PM me for more details.
