I am rebuilding a 1098 engine, and need to replace the camshaft as the hardening has worn off a couple of the lobes, and was wondering what camshaft would be best suited to a standard 1098 engine, and where to get a new camshaft from.

The 998 Mini A+ camshaft is quite good, and cheap to find - but the best alternative would be an MG Metro camshaft - hard to find and expensive.... The cam followers will need renewing too....

beware - there are some very ordinary camshafts on ebay at stupidly high prices ! I don't see any '1098' cams at the moment...
