Hi. I recently treated the car to tune up as it has only recently been put back on the road. The garage said that they coukld not get the tickover right and left it running fast. If you actually turn the spindle the car will idle correcly. Spring is good and correct tension. Pivots lubricated. This, they said, ws due to the throttle spindle bore in the carb being worn. Our club reckon that, oddly, the spindle wears not the diecasting. I have looked on Burlen website for a rebuild kit with spindle, butterfly, bushes etc but wonder if its best to send carb off for the boring/bushing. This is a HS2 carb
Anyone else have any comments/ agree?
