Semaphore indicators

Hi,
I've just bought a 1967 Moggie (E reg) with just the bulb indicators. However, my mum remembers HER MUM'S D reg moggie having Semaphores. Was this an added extra or something? If so, is that something I could fit to mine?
Thanks,
Chris

A D reg wouldn't have had semaphore trafficators, unless it was very late in being registered for some reason.
Semaphore indicators were fitted until '62, just after the Minor Millions, when flashing sidelights, then indicators, were introduced.

Not quite. D reg is a 1966, and would be ... ...D (ie 7 figures ending in 'D'). That reg is a pre-62 'dateless' reg, just 'random' letters and numbers with no date code (like a 'D' on the end for example). Your mother's car was a '48-'61 car which would have had semaphore trafficators as standard equipment.
