After seeing a Minor pickup for an outrageous 14k, have now seen a couple of Mini pickups for 11 to 12k !

I suspect Mini Pick Ups are a lot rarer than Minors !

That's what it is. Simple as that. We used to have Mini pick-ups at work. I think they cost about £400 brand new and they were used and given as much respect as a wheelbarrow. That's why there are so few left now, which is why they're valuable. Added to which, professional restoration of one in average condition would no doubt cost over £10,000. There would be a lot of work involved in the proper restoration of a Mini pick-up. And you'd have to find one to restore in the first place of course.

It isn't as easy as you think That isn't and never was a Mini Pick-up. That is a Mini Clubman Estate with the back altered, the quick way of telling is that it has internal hinged doors (with the wind-up windows of late Minis). Genuine pick-ups all had the smaller, early type doors and sliding windows which fit a completely different bodyshell. The car pictured is a bit like those "Minor pick-ups" which are an old traveller with some or all of the timber frame removed hence that one is relatively cheap
