Hi, can anyone tell me if you can fit later model, say 55-56, windscreen wipers to a 50-52 splitscreen morris. What is required if you can? Thanks.

Split screen wiper blades 1948 - 56 are all the same length. One piece screen blades are longer and will not fit.
You may find a non Minor blade which fits

Most blade rubbers can be cut to fit

An adapter was available many years ago to fit onto the wiper arm of the early car, it was fitted to my traveller when I bought it. It just bolts onto the arm and means you can use the later arm and blade that has more tension against the screen and better wiping ability.

It looks something like the above which is for a land rover, I dont know if it the same but not expensive if not correct, heres another that looks a bit more like mine with the bolt and says lucas

Thankyou guys, will give all of the above options a go.

Interesting bit of kit,as long as you can find an arm the right length. Won't be the same tho, being able to see when above 20mph in the rain
