Spanner recomendations

Post by Jared »

Having started to pull apart my Moggy today I discovered my limited selection of spanners and sockets that were not metric was just not cutting it. So I could do with a set of sockets and a set of spanners ideally under £75 for both. Any recommendations?

You need as many A/F and Whitworth sockets, open ended, ring and combination spanners as you can get hold of. In Whitworth sizes 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, 3/4. A/F sizes 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, etc up to 1in. A couple of small metric spanners 7-10mm in case metric nuts and bolts have been fitted. 7mm is useful for Jubillee clips
