Hi All,

You may have seen my recent posts, my series II is 60 years old and has been in a garage for the last 40……how easy is it to change the front suspension in its entirety? Is it possible to change it all with a simple kit of axial stands , trolley jack and a variety of tools on a driveway without the advantage of a garage or hydraulic ramp?

Decent trolley jack and axle stands and you should have no problem. I've not change it in it's entirety but come pretty close with other work on the suspension/steering. If you do a Google search for 'Morris Minor Workshop Manual' then you will find a very useful PDF down load to guide you. Good luck.

Many years ago, I had a trunnion fail at the end of the road. I walked home, got a couple of stands, a jack, and s few tools in a wheelbarrow; back to the car, and fitted a new (alright, used) upright compete with trunnions; and then drove home. If you have the luxury of a drive and some time, then you shouldn't have any problems. The procedure is covered in other posts.
