The Rom Pom grease gun appears not to have the end for fitting over the grease nipple.
A similar grease gun to the Rom Pom is 'e' bay item No: 261613703835 and branded MINOR so very appropriate.
I have a Wanner grease gun which is similar and can highly recommend the Wanner make.
You can never give a Minor too much grease.

Awhhh

see I would never have noticed that till I had bought it and realised it wouldn't fit
But I'm liking the minor one though

may try and get that one are you sure the connector is the correct one

and are all the grease nipples the same on the moggy then?

just to check

Whilst the mounting threads of the grease nipples may be different - the heads of the grease nipples on to which the grease gun fits are all the same on a Minor.

Two Wanner grease guns on 'e' bay at Buy It Now prices:
Item No: 291262572267 @ £17.50 with free postage. Location - Portsmouth.
Item No: 161446542746 @ £19.99 with free postage. Location - Emsworth.
My Wanner grease gun has been well used by me for over 40 years and has (and still does) given good service and never gone wrong and it is a one handed operation to use.
Make sure that what ever grease gun you get you clean the grease nipple before putting the grease gun to it. That ensures that NO dirt gets inside the nipple.
Even better is to put a brake bleed nipple cap over the grease nipple to keep the dirt and wet out.
The caps are available from 'e' bay item No: 261263712929 @ £4.99 per qty 10 with free postage.
Happy greasing

Works well enough for me, having the flexible nozzle helps as you can pump grease around corners

I've also got one with a flexible tube but never had cause to use it.
Some grease nipples need a strong shove from the gun to engage properly, easier with the solid tube I think.
One tip for tough to get grease into nipples is to put some fine woven material over the nipple before applying the gun, this seals the joint and directs the pressure to the right place.
Keep pumping till clean grease comes out of the joint you are working on.

I use the little Tecalemit for accessing awkward positions (my large gun won't fit properly on the top trunnion grease point). The flexible end guns are good at getting into awkward places and putting more pressure on than the little Tecalemit providing you can get them on the nipple. Horses for courses?
I would recommend the little Tecalemit and a lever arm like the Rom-pom. Worth the investment for a Minor!

I do not think that you will go wrong with a Wanner grease gun.
You may not be aware that after filling the grease container and refitting it to the head of the gun you will need to bleed the air out of the pump pressure/delivery cylinder by carefully unscrewing the bleed nipples on the side/top of the head. The spring inside the grease container will push the air/grease out of the bleed nipples. Once the air is excluded tighten the bleed nipples and the gun is ready for work.
Happy greasing.

Also what grease is needed? Would it come in just a tub or would it come in a tube like a sealant gun. Thanks
