Hi, does anyone know the size of the axle filler plug and drain plug key ,for a morris traveller 1970,and where I can get one ? I,ve just bought a Cassic Car universal drain plug tool off Ebay which has about 8 different sizes on it but none of them fit very well.

One of them should be a near fit , often the square is full of lots of dirt and oil mixed and you cant get the key very far in. Try cleaning it out well with a straight screwdriver and a gentle tap and you should get it in enough to get it to turn, they are never usually that tight.

I bought one of the universal ones the other week, made by Draper I think, and I had to hacksaw the tip off one of them to get it to fit the rear axle. All the ends on the spanner were tapered so you might need to get inventive

If the plug's not too tight a 3/8" square socket drive might do the trick, a bit slack but it shifted mine.
