Wheels now looking nice and black! Only umpteen more serious jobs to do I suspect.. but it's a start![frame]

Did the grill and with some cream looking hammerite

As an aside, if re-chroming is prohibitively expensive, you could always remove the remaining chrome bits and polish up the brass, it might look rather good, certainly better than nothing and very distinctive.
