Chassis number de-coding help?

Hi All,
I haven't checked against the car yet but....the chassis number on the log book begins MA2S5 then the 7 digit number which I assume to be the actual chassis number.
What does the MA2S5 bit mean? I know from an old Mercedes I had that even the information for the ignition key number was on the chassis number.
Any ideas please?

Hi there,
MA2S5 stands for M=Morris
A=A series engine
2s=2 door saloon
5=1098cc engine
