Gearbox cover screws

I've removed my gearbox cover to facilitate replacement of clutch/brake pedal bushes and shaft. I have half a dozen 'problem' screws, a couple of which I had to drill out and the remainder simply didn't have a caged nut and were just 'sitting there'.

I have successfully re-tapped the ones I had to drill so my question is this: does anyone know of a supplier for 1/4 bsf rivnuts or is there a better way to deal with the absent caged nuts?

Thanks in anticipation

Wonder if you fit a 1/4 UNF rivnut 28 tpi, and then run a 1/4 BSF tap through it, there's only 2 tpi difference, never tried it but it may work.

May be worth trying the re tapping idea, its not a mission critical fitting.
