Goodwood Revival - traffic jams, routes, bike race

Could anyone who lives near Goodwood, Petsworth, etc, advise on the traffic situation this weekend?
I've heard that there are diversions in place around Petsworth (and hence big traffic jams) on Sunday Sept 14 because of the Tour of Britain.
However, I've checked out the ToB website which says that section of the race is on Saturday 13, and that the race moves to London on Sunday.
If there's anyone who's been to Goodwood today, or lives nearby, it would be great to get some local info! (Or suggestions of how I might avoid the jams.)
