If you can clean inside the crack and fill it with waterproof glue then clamp it together, is should hold. Ideally you should drill for brass wood screws and plug the screw heads with pellets, you will know doubt have to buy some equipment to do the screwing part of the operation, as you need a plugging tool, spare piece of same timber and appropriate size drill.

You know my english is poor but i will try and explain my best, both sides have a joint they have not split its just that the gap which i guess was glued has opened up on the one side there has been filler, these are exspensrive parts on the wood £100 each sides i think so i want to fix.

Maybe the door hinges aren't quite properly aligned, putting the pillar under an abnormal twisting load when it's opened...? Just my two penn'orth, though it does look as if the wood has been on the car for some time.

The wood has been on the car from new this is the first wood ever on the car 44 year old.

We have new door to be going on but first many thing to fix[frame][/frame]

we buy doors 150£ for two, its ok price we are very thankful to seller from ebay.

The hinges have never moved but the top bolt how do you get it out?

Cannot see the extent of the damage, but IF it's a big split, use glue as Lasagneman
said but use coachbolts instead - or fabricate a bracket affair.

Not quite at the Eco-strip and Dexion stage as yet.

The posts that BMC / BL used towards the end of production were laminated. I suspect that marketing would say for strength, accountants would say to reduce cost - easier to find smaller pieces of wood and stick them together, than to find good quality whole pieces. I had one Traveller where the laminate opened after 40 years. Evostick waterproof glue and some heft clamps sorted for another ten years before it was all replaced; so I suspect that you will be fine with just a good quality waterproof glue - use a thing blade to scrape the joint clean before applying the glue.

is it bet to remove the post first before clueing?

use a pu glue it is water restistant , fills any gaps and you can stain or whatever your finish is over it
just lever the split open slightly to get the glue in and cramp it up leave till set and scrape off exess glue as it does foam up, you do not need much glue
this glue also stays slightly flexible unlike other glues that go hard and can crack after time outside
i use this glue for making up strings for stairs and any other timbers we need to laminate up
