New Fan Blade: Quality Question

Hi, just a quick one.
I'm in the market for a new fan blade - mine snapped while on holiday (severing only a lighting cable, luckily...)
Are the £10 new ones from ESM/BM decent quality, or would I be better off getting a second hand one from somewhere?
I don't want to fit a cheap one which will consequently snap again, possibly doing more severe damage...

It's not unheard of. After fifty years of spinning around, constantly heating up and cooling down, I'm not surprised.

It's not that rare, I've had it happen and a mighty big bang it made too!
Happily no other damage was done.

I think it's not uncommon. The last one I saw was on a Midget engine where the blade was spaced out with washers to avoid the front breather, and subsequently snapped in half and buried itself in the front crossmember, not all that far away from the front brake line.
So, as far as I can tell, they can go wrong when they're allowed to vibrate and stress, either by washers as above, the lack of strengthener plate or loose bolts.
Maybe I should dust off my electric fan kit for my Minor - just in case!

I have a couple of spare blades if you need one.
