new guy! seriously considering purchase of moggy

Hello,
I'm Dan, for some years now i have lusted over owning a morris minor. Time/money/other always seems to get in the way. Ive been building my bike the past couple years so money kinda sank straight into that, however nearing completion on that and having just sold my car im now seriously considering getting a moggy.
Trouble is everywhere i look even old rotten shed examples are fetching ridiculoius ammounts of cash.
What id like is a rolling project ideally. One that runs drives and can be taxed and insured to use and build up as i go. But funds dictate ill probably end up with a shed needing work.
Not afraid to get stuck in, just would rather splitting the body from the chasis and welding up a basket case.
Maybe i joined the wrong page? But a restoration it will not be.
I plan on tearing out the whole interior and leaving it bare? A minimalistic bench seat at the rear, and two bomber seats up ftont. Around a 4" roof chop. Lowered slightly and some wide banded steelies
Engine wise ive been thinking of leaving the original bmc in situ and maybe plonking an eaton supercharger in. Ultimately... v8! But shall see
