Saw this on ebay. Not for me , but is this a fair price? What do other members think?

Always worth preserving a car, but surely in this case about all you'll be getting is a roof and a number plate; everything else will be new - which seems to make it a tad overpriced. An auction would give its true worth. It's a shame that people think they're sitting on such valuable bits of rust.

I have better things to do with £10,000. Nice bit of BMC history. I would have thought £500 might be a better price. It's basically
a two door saloon, that came down the production line around the Million mark. I've often thought that Ebay is not great for Morris Minors, that need a good sorting out. I would take on a Saloon my self, but because it's a Morris Minor, the price goes sky high. Because of the high prices, many will just end up being scrapped, rather than being taken on by a genuine enthusiast.
Good job there was such a long production run. I saw the first Minor at Gaydon a while ago, I'm led to believe the very last one down the line is still around ? Hope so !

I had a read through his text, after laughing at his silly price!!
He says he is open to sensible offers, so it just depends what his idea of a realistic sensible offer is..........................

We are not allowed to critisize the message board Cars for Sale but that does not stop us having a go at ebay.
The 179th car was sent to Kennings in Sheffield. No registration given. Appleyards of Leeds had 074, 082, 086, 098, 106, 198 & 199. More boring info can be found in the book.
£10,000? taking the wee wee there I think

Well, lets hope it ends up in the right hands, and for the right price. A nice piece of BMC history, that will need £10,000 + spending on it, to bring it back to it's former glory. Hope to see it along side other Millions, before it's restoration,at next years National !

£10k for a scrapper? lilac or not it will cost the same again to make it anything worth having, nah, because its a million someone may be prepared to pay a little over the odds, £2k maybe.

To be honest a rusty car with no MOT requiring lots of welding, before you even look at anything else, is not worth more than a couple of hundred quid at most, no matter what badge it carries.
If people are prepared to pay silly money for wrecks then more fool them.
Best wishes,
Mike.
