Boot colour (inside)

Hi all.
What colour should the inside of the boot be painted in a 1966 saloon? Mines all black (looks like old underseal), but I wondered if some or all of it should be body coloured?
Thanks.
Neil.

Curiously, I've just spent the afternoon with a hot air gun & scraper stripping the underseal stuff off the inside of my boot and there's no sign of any body colour paint anywhere, on the boot floor where there's been no repairs it just seems to be black paint over bare metal? :-?

Thanks. Was the floor of your boot and the back of the bulkhead black or body coloured? Maybe I should have left the tar type finish on the inside of the inner arches but I wanted to make sure they were solid.
