Hi.
Are all rear dampers the same, ie will a pair of shocks from a traveller fit my 2dr saloon?
Thanks.

Saloon, Traveller, & convertible all the same, LCVs are different. Wach out that some suppliers are selling new (not recon) units which are not the same as standard ones.

If anyone comes up with a larger compatible rear damper - please let me know! MGB dampers are larger - but don't appear to have the same range of movement as Minor dampers.

Roy,
Here is a "uprated" damper I have reconditioned myself, as you can see from the picture the bores and the bolt for the valve is larger, this where I think the 25% uprated comes from. The pivot arm is the same length as a standard minor damper and as is also the stroke. Also you can see a stamp of 11/73 on the body. I assume this is a date stamp which would mean that this damper was made after the Minor ceased production.
The only two differences I found was that you could get a 5/8" socket onto the nuts of the fixing bolts of a standard minor damper where as these you cannot, the filler plug is on the side and not the top otherwise the damper is a retrofit.
I bought the pair from a chap on here a couple of years ago who had them on his traveller and said they didn't leak, they did, so I ended up repairing my original dampers and keeping these as a spare set.
