What to paint inner wheel arch...suggestions?

Hi all,

I had a free afternoon today (wife and kids away!) so I was pondering what to do and I thought I'd see how easy it is to remove a wing. Obviously its very easy as I'm sure you all know but don't forget I'm only 3 months in to this!! So, two hours later I've removed one, and cleaned up the inside (of the body side....is that still called the inside wheel arch or something else??). No major rust to speak of so I'll treat that with Kurust, but what should I then paint it with? I have a load of black hammerite so I'm inclined to give it two coats of that. Anyone think that's a bad idea?? Bear in mind this is a 'mend and make do project' i.e. minimum spend, just stop it from getting any worse!

Thanks

Looks quite sound. I'd wire brush the rust, kill it, use your paint then waxoil it after.
But there are those much wiser than me...
Good Luck

Just make sure you rub the existing paintwork down properly and there is no grease present.

I'm convinced a lot of peoples crumbles about certain brands are purely because we all have a habit of rushing the preparation.

The hammerite should last a long time if prepped correctly. :D
