Front Parcel Shelf Question

After much thought I'm guessing the one I need is number 21 - FTS101 from the link below.

My car is a 1955 Split Screen facelift with a round heater.

Only problem being I don't have the front bar and the bar that seems to be with the shelf, number 31, says it's for late cars, longer than early. I suppose I need to measure from side to side and get CW to measure the bar don't I.

Does anyone know for sure before I order it ?

The bar for the early short parcel shelf is a right angle length of metal turned over with a bolt hole at each end, not too difficult to make if you have the skills.
The later bar is thicker and padded.
