clutch slip update

Post by martin418 »

i have just removed the clutch and i suspect it's a reconditioned unit ,silver hammerite is a good clue , the pressure plate springs are so weak you can operate it by hand !!! , i guess the cover has been remachined and adjusted which has detensioned the clamping springs , i think a new good clutch is in order

Oh dear - and can you not just adjust up the springs as per the Manual?

i will have a look at that option but as it's a clutch i don't know it's origins of i might just replace it to be safe
