52 morris minor 918cc engine

What should be the oil pressure on tick over and running pressure for 40 mph.
Please advise

With the oil at working temperature the oil pressure at idle, 850 rpm, should be 20 to 40 psi depending on condition of bearings.idle speed can vary and needs to be checked with a hand tacho as 750 rpm can be as low as 15 psi. At 40 mph 40 to 60 psi. :D

A good condition side valve should see 65psi at cruising and may drop to 25psi when leaving the motorway then climb to 40psi on urban roads and recover to 65 psi
