Speedo S/N4419/04 1376

Post by andy.pointeer »

Hi,

I understand the 1376 is the tpm, but what is the difference between 4419/04 1376 and say 4417/00 1376. The reason for asking is on my traveller the fitted 4419/04 1376 mileometer has stopped working and need to know if a 4417/00 1376 would be a suitable replacement.

I have looked and found info about tpm but cannot find any about S/N. Advice on suitability would be appreciated

Only a 'Minor' difference I'm sure. If the price is right - buy it!

When I started listing Minor/Mini speedos I expected a couple of dozen at the most, however the list goes on and on. Each model Minor has its own speedo in both mph and kph, 1098s are in black and gold, LCVs have a lower diff ratio so have their own mph and kph speedos and I have not seriously started on Minis yet. There are numerous SN numbers all with/-- versions and very little apparent difference between them. If they have the correct TPM and look the same then they will be ok
The list is on http://seriesmm.mmoc.org.uk Car Ident Speedo Ident

Thanks BMC/Mike for the info, will try to get the 4417/00 1376 speedo and install in car. If its not suitable, it will allow me to get my original fixed and then change back.

4417/00 1376.
Could you please confirm that the Serial Number and TPM are correct for the above speedo and I can then add it to the list

Hi Mike
Don’t yet have this Speedo in my possession, when/if I do, I will confirm the number.

Hi Infor for Mike

4417/00 1376 arrived and it is different to my original 4419/04 1376.

Mounting Brackets stick out more, see below 4417/00 on left and has speed clip for selftapping type screws and 4419/04 on right with bolts [frame]Image[/frame]

Tried changing the fronts, but the lamp shades are mounted differently, on the back plate on the 4417/00[frame]Image[/frame]

and on the back of the dial for the 4419/04[frame]Image[/frame]

This shown that just because the TPM is the same it does not mean the speedo will fit you car

Probably a Mini speedo - fits fine if you adjust the brackets slightly!
