Morris Minor Owners Club

I'm interested in a traveller for sale and have had a good look over the car. One of the problems is the Newton Drivers seat needs a patch or repair. Should I get in touch with with Newton or is this something I could do with a swatch of the correct material ? Sorry haven't got a pic.

Probably better to get Newton to do it as they will be able to match the correct material used originally.
