Hi
I bought a '69 Traveller two and a half years ago. It had a full seat of inertia reel belts, the fronts are Toyota the rears of unknown origin.
We are currently looking after our granddaughter for about three days a week. We have a Britax safety seat which is normally secured in the back of our Corsa using the seat belts. Unfortunately, due to the inattentions of white van man the Corsa is currently unavailable.
I have tried to fit the seat into the back of the Traveller but the belts aren't long enough.
a. Does anyone have experience of using a safety seat in a Traveller?
b. If so what rear belts do you have?
c. any suggestions from anyone.
Thanks everyone for whatever advice you can give

Re: Child Safety Seat
You could try one of these to extend the belt, this one fits all types it bolts to the "end" of the pull out belt and fixes to the floor or cill where the pull out bit came from. You get a bolt with it to join them.
You can get clip in ones of various lenghts but as there are a few different clip/buckle sizes I would go for this bolt in one

Re: Child Safety Seat
The standard rear inertia seat belts are too short for the Traveller as the reel is mounted in the rear compartment. You need to ask for the extra long ones suitable for a Traveller. I think mine came from Bull Motif. They will then fit around the kiddy seat using the slots in the seat provided for this (either front or rear facing child seat)

Thanks for your suggestions, the extender looks good but, as my wife now informs me that the present belts don't pull out or retract smoothly, I am going for new Traveller belts.
Thanks again
